What is it?
CBD, stands for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, which is also known as marijuana or hemp, according to the US National Library of Medicine.
It’s a naturally occurring substance that’s used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive.
What is it good for?
Anxiety, depression, pain relief, alleviate cancer-related symptoms, neuroprotective properties, heart health (lower high blood preassure), and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Delta 8
What is it?
- Psychoactive, but without the negative side effects of DELTA-9 THC (anxiety, stress).
- Stable, which increases shelf life for concentrates.
- Found with small quantities (less than 1%) of THC-9, but highly efficient in doses as well as shelf-life.
What is it good for?
Happiness, uplifting feelings, full body calming, and relief from some symptoms such as pain. Delta-8 also helps with insomnia.
CBN
What is it?
CBN is a non-intoxicating compound that is best known as the cannabinoid created when THC ages. For that reason, it’s usually present in high amounts in older cannabis. While this might be a turn-off for some, others seek out older cannabis just to enjoy the effects of CBN.

Delta 10
What is it?
Delta 10 THC resembles its close relative Delta 8 in terms of effects – and of course also Delta 9. Based on consumer reports and an early study, both appear to showcase a suspected lower psychotropic potency than Delta 9 THC (aka “traditional” THC).
